A British-Somali romantic comedy about two Somali teens finding connection and healing in a clinic waiting room.
Crush opens at Contact Theatre on Thursday 15 October, the first of three Manchester performances. It's a British-Somali romantic comedy about two Somali teens who find connection and healing in a clinic waiting room, and it's touring the UK this month.
Contact is one of the stops on a wider run that goes from 15 to 25 October, with seven performances in total. The Manchester leg runs from 15 to 17 October, so there are three nights to choose from if you're around. The show continues on after that, with dates at Sheffield Theatres and Norwich Theatre Royal.
For those who haven't spent much time there, Contact Theatre is a registered charity and arts centre that's been running free, accessible arts and leadership programmes for 13-30-year-olds since 1972. It's built around diversity and inclusivity, and it's always had a focus on nurturing the next generation of artists. The venue itself was designed with sustainability at its heart and brings people together across five adaptable theatre and event spaces, a recording studio, social and coworking areas, and a café bar.
