A collection of short films showcasing stories from across British Jewish life, followed by a panel discussion.
British Jewish Life on Film 2026 comes to HOME on Sunday 29 November, starting at 3.45pm. It's a collection of brand-new films commissioned this year by UKJF's Film Factory, all about British Jewish life, and the Manchester screening is a straight-to-film session: it starts at the advertised time with no ads or trailers, and closes with a Q&A.
The programme brings together a slate of mini-documentaries and short dramas, all UK productions from 2026, and several are award winners. Among them is King of the Jews, which took the Pears Short Film Fund 2026; Fish, Chips & Faith, winner of the Dangoor UKJF Film Fund 2026; and Rachel Jones Needs a Boyfriend Not a Bat-Mitzvah, winner of the Changing Perspectives Film Fund 2026. Some of the other films are screening for the first time.

UKJF describes the collection as a way of showing the diversity of the community through these short formats, and the Q&A at the end gives you a chance to talk about what you've seen. The session runs at HOME, Tony Wilson Place, Manchester M1 4FN, and starts at 3.45pm on Sunday 29 November. Tickets are £11.15 for adults, £9.15 for concessions (students and senior citizens), and £7.95 for the unwaged.
