An immersive multimedia celebration of David Bowie with DJs and VJs bringing his music to life through reactive visuals, part of the 'David Bowie: You're Not Alone' exhibition.
Ewan Findley is taking over The Social, Aviva Studios on Wednesday 23 December for Bowie In The City: Redefined, a multimedia night built around the music of David Bowie. It's not a tribute band in the usual sense; Findley is bringing together a line-up of DJs and VJs from across the North West to deconstruct and reassemble Bowie's discography and aesthetic in real time, turning the room into a canvas for experimentation. The visuals are reactive, so the images shift and respond to what's being played, rather than just running on a loop in the background.
It's part of a wider celebration, David Bowie: You're Not Alone, an exhibition running at Aviva Studios from 8 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, so the night sits right in the middle of that. If you're already planning to head in for the exhibition, this is a good way to spend an evening while you're there. The whole thing is suitable for 14+.
