Electronic music pioneer Bonobo brings his new album Distance in Static to live performance in a show designed by Pierre Claude.
Bonobo is playing The Warehouse, Aviva Studios on Thursday 4 February, bringing his new album Distance in Static to the stage. It's a brand-new live show designed by Pierre Claude, who has also worked with Air, Gesaffelstein, Phoenix and Caroline Polachek.
Bonobo is the stage name of British musician, producer and DJ Simon Green, and he's one of the defining voices in electronic music. He's had two UK Top 5 albums, Migration and Fragments, billions of streams, and collaborations with artists like Erykah Badu and Damon Albarn, along with multiple BRIT and GRAMMY nominations. This show is built around Distance in Static, and the record is a wide-reaching one: he works with a cast that includes Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis and Aanya Martin. Lyrics appear in English, Urdu and Japanese, and historic Iranian samples and guzheng recordings sit alongside his own processed instrumentation.
