Bar Shrimp's First Birthday

Bar Shrimp is turning one on Wednesday 21 October, and they're marking the first birthday with a night that puts their own music direction front and centre. It's a cocktail and seafood bar on New York Street, so the evening works around the two things they do: drinks and oysters.

The music is handled by three DJs. Lukatti Bugatti is the deep groove curator and Bar Shrimp's Music Director, and he's sharing the bill with Shadeda and Theo Ward, both of Stretford's Elody crew. The whole night is built around the bar's own musical identity, so it's a good chance to hear the kind of sound they've been running since they opened.

It's a free entry, and they're running 50% off drinks and oysters all night. The party kicks off at 4pm and runs through until midnight, so you can roll in early for a few oysters and a drink and stay as late as you like. If you're coming from work, it's a mid-week one, but it's open long enough that you can make a proper evening of it.
