The Warehouse Project 20th anniversary party with techno and electronic music across Depot, Concourse, Archive and Vault rooms.
The Warehouse Project returns to Depot Mayfield on Saturday 19 December for Part 2 of its 20th anniversary season, with techno and electronic music spread across four rooms: the Depot, Concourse, Archive and the new Vault.
The Depot takes the biggest names, with Carl Cox, Chris Stussy, Seth Troxler, ChloΓ© Caillet, 2manydjs, Delilah and Jordan Villa. The Concourse is just as stacked, featuring Mall Grab, Ewan McVicar, Effy, Krystal Klear, Dan Shake, Ella Knight and Gina Breeze. In the Archive, you'll find Dr Banana, Call Super, Ryan Elliott, Katia Curie, Papa Nugs and Eich & Spinelli, while the Vault debuts with Dusky, George FitzGerald, Krysko & Greg Lord, Jasper James and Aletha.
It's a big moment for the project. WHP first launched in October 2006 at Boddingtons Strangeways Brewery as a new way to experience late-night music, later moving to Store Street before settling at Depot Mayfield. It's stuck to a seasonal format in industrial spaces and grown into a defining part of Manchester's identity, booking names like Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Disclosure, Bicep and Fred Again.. This anniversary season arrives exactly two decades after Public Enemy played the first ever WHP event, and founders Sam Kandel and Richard McGinnis called the milestone a 'huge moment'.

They've marked the twenty years with a short film, Twenty Years In Manchester, directed by Leigh Powis, plus an outdoor exhibition in Spinningfields, a podcast and a new print magazine. This season has run the truest course of the project's history, with most shows sold out or close to it and the new Vault space making its debut. A planned fallow year in 2027 follows, with smaller-scale events before a full programme returns in 2028. The whole thing goes down on Saturday 19 December at Depot Mayfield.
