Stand-up show 'Un Albanese Asintomatico' by Xhuliano Dule, who blends irony and autobiography with themes of identity and migration.
Xhuliano Dule brings his stand-up show to Dingwalls in Camden on Wednesday 21 October, with the set starting at 19:00. It's a solo show, and the whole thing runs for about three hours.
If you haven't come across his work before, there's a fair bit of context to catch up on. Dule was born in Albania and grew up in Veneto, Italy, and he trained at the Accademia Silvio d'Amico. From there he's worked across theatre, cinema and television, collaborating with directors like Francesca Archibugi and Paolo Virzì. He's also been recognised at the Roma Fringe Festival, so this isn't his first time on a stage.
The show is called Un Albanese Asintomatico, and it blends irony with autobiography. He works with themes of identity and migration, playing with them through humour and depth rather than sticking to one or the other. It's the kind of set that draws on his own background to find the comedy in the middle of it all.
