Symphonic concert by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and a full choir marking the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft, with iconic game projections.
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra are taking over the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 25 October for a concert dedicated to World of Warcraft. It's a double-bill day, with two separate performances: a matinee at 13:30 and an evening show at 18:30.
The music marks the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft, one of the world's most iconic video game franchises. Over two hours, the orchestra takes you through the history of Azeroth, starting with the original game and working through to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. It's a symphonic journey that follows the timeline of the world, so you'll hear the music from the early days alongside the more recent additions. While the orchestra provides the sound, a giant screen fills the hall with visual projections from the game, keeping the imagery of Azeroth in front of you as the music changes.
On stage, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra is joined by a full choir, with Ludwig Wicki conducting. The whole thing is presented by Helvepic in partnership with Blizzard Entertainment. It's recommended for ages 12 and over, and anyone 14 or under needs to be accompanied by an adult.
