Free interactive talk by Tito Mogaji on connection, care and community, part of the V&A's Ideas Exchange programme.
Tito Mogaji leads a session called Why We Connect at the V&A East Storehouse on Sunday 13 December, from 13:00 to 15:00. It's part of the V&A's Ideas Exchange, a programme of interactive talks, and it's free to attend.
The session frames connection as a social, creative and radical act, set against rising economic inequality, social polarisation and a shift from the real to the digital. It starts with playful, skills-sharing activities built around collaboration, conversation and making, before moving into facilitated discussions about the creative communities people belong to and the year that has shaped them. The whole thing is presented as a way to close out 2026 by reflecting on the significance of connection amidst social division and fragmentation.
It's aimed at anyone living, working or studying in east London, aged 18+, from emerging to established within the creative sector. Tito Mogaji is the founder of Nourishment, a community and cultural agency focused on connecting underrepresented communities with arts and culture through curated experiences, campaigns and partnerships.
