We Saw That Show with Andrew Mensah & Gbemi Oladipo

Andrew Mensah and Gbemi Oladipo are taking over The Top Secret Comedy Club on Monday 26 October, with the show starting at 19:00. It's a double bill, so you get two sets in one night rather than just one name on the poster.

The venue is at 23 Kingsway, York House, WC2B 6UJ, and it's open seven days a week, so this is one of those Monday nights that actually gives you something to do in the city. It bills itself as the UK's highest-rated comedy club, and it's a spot that's drawn praise from the likes of Trevor Noah, who called it his favourite London club and his home, and Seann Walsh.

If you're around earlier in the day, there's a bit more going on than just the main show. The club runs a 'Work in Progress' session from 18:00 to 19:15, Monday to Thursday, where acts develop solo shows for festivals like Edinburgh and Adelaide. It's also known for unannounced sets from guest comedians — names like Jack Whitehall, Katherine Ryan and Romesh Ranganathan have popped up there without warning, so there's always a chance you'll catch someone you didn't expect.

At the bar, pints start at £4, wine at £4.50 and spirits plus mixer at £5.00. Tickets for the night start from £15, and with the show kicking off at 19:00, it's a straightforward Monday evening out in the West End.
