Underground drum and bass night 'Colony' curated by Visionobi at Onyx in Wapping, over 18s only.
Visionobi brings another edition of Colony to Onyx this Friday 23 October, running from 22:00 through to 06:00. It's a drum and bass night curated by the label, and the line-up is a long one: Doc Scott, Loxy, DIGITAL, Rizzle, Ama (UK), Kira (3), Ill Truth, Visionobi, and FOKUS playing live. With nine names across eight hours, there's plenty of ground to cover before the sun comes up.
Colony is an underground drum and bass movement built around the ideas of culture, community and 'Colony', and this night sits right in the middle of it. The label describes it as a movement rather than just a club night, and the line-up reflects that, pulling from different corners of the scene. You've got the heavy hitters like Doc Scott and Loxy, the deep, stripped-back sound of DIGITAL, and the live set from FOKUS to keep things moving.
Onyx is the sister club to E1 in Wapping, a 700-capacity room that turns a year old this autumn, so this is one of its early nights. It's tucked away in the East End, and the size of it means it's a proper dancefloor without getting too cavernous. The music runs all night, from the first drop around ten until the lights come up at six, so if you're planning to stay for the whole thing, you've got a full eight hours of drum and bass to work through.

Before you head down, a few practical things to keep in mind: it's strictly over-18s, and you'll need a valid physical photo ID at the door. The venue also runs a strict no-drugs and no-phone policy, so leave the phone in your pocket and the drugs at home. Doors open at 22:00, and the music goes until 06:00.
