Stand-up night with a host and professional comedians from the London circuit at the JK Comedy Club in Covent Garden.
Thursday Night Comedy is back at JK Comedy Club Covent Garden on Thursday 12 November, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and the show starting at 8:00 PM. It runs for about 90 minutes, so you're in and out in a decent window for a mid-week night out. The bill is a host and a line-up of professional comedians from the London circuit, rather than one big name carrying the whole thing.
That's the point of the night, really. It draws from the city's stand-up scene, and previous shows have featured comedians who've gone on to Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo and Netflix. The club itself sits on 4.9/5 on Google from more than 4,300 reviews, which gives you a fair idea of the standard they keep. If you want to see who's actually on the bill before you commit, the line-ups are posted on the club's Instagram, @jkcomedyclub. Just keep in mind that they can change at short notice for illness, filming or travel, and a change of act isn't grounds for a refund.

There are a couple of practical things to have on your radar. The comedy room at Arboretum is reached by stairs, and there's no step-free access at any of the club's venues. The show is strictly for over-18s, and you'll need a valid photo ID at the door. Tickets start from £12.00, and the club is at 2A Charing Cross Road, London WC2H 0HF.
