Victorian-style New Year's Eve party with a live DJ, cocktails and a complimentary glass of Champagne at Mr Fogg's The Society of Exploration in Covent Garden.
The Midnight Society is the New Year's Eve party at The Society of Exploration, one of Mr Fogg's collection of Victorian-inspired cocktail bars and taverns across London, with venues in Mayfair, Covent Garden, Fitzrovia, Soho and the City. The Society of Exploration itself is an atmospheric speakeasy founded by Phileas J. Fogg, Esq. — the figure behind his famous voyage around the world — and it sits near Charing Cross station, the very starting point of that journey.
Inside, the room gathers bookcases of antiques, weather-beaten maps and mounted portraits of past explorers. Behind the wood-panelled bar sits the Mechanical Mixologist, the world's first automated Negroni-making machine. The night is played in true Victorian fashion, with expertly crafted cocktails and a DJ carrying the party into the early hours, as Victorian adventure meets late-night revelry in the heart of Covent Garden.
