Pre-Halloween shutdown party in Shoreditch with bashment, soca, hip hop and afrobeats, costume-friendly and over-18s only.
Warhawk Events are back in Shoreditch on Friday 23 October with The Halloween Takeover, a pre-Halloween shutdown at Simmons Bar (145-149 Curtain Road, EC2A 3AR). It's a few days before the actual day, so it works as a proper warm-up if you're planning a full weekend of it.
The night runs on a mix of bashment, soca, hip hop and afrobeats, so the dancefloor will be pulling from a few different corners of the city. It's not a single-genre thing, which means you'll hear a fair bit of variety across the set rather than one sound on loop. Costumes are heavily encouraged, so it's the kind of night where showing up in a full outfit is the norm rather than the exception.
Warhawk describe it as a movie from start to finish, and they're promising the heaviest energy and the maddest crowd. If you've been to their nights before, you'll know the vibe they're going for. It's a late one, too: it kicks off at 9:00pm and runs through until 2:00am, so there's plenty of room to settle in.

Entry is strictly for over-18s, and you'll need a physical ID to get in, so don't rely on a photo on your phone. Tickets are £8-£10 in advance, and they're non-refundable, so keep that in mind before you commit. With the 2:00am finish, you've got five hours of music to work through.
