UK games industry funding day with talks on investment, publisher and investor meetings, and new revenue streams.
The Funding Formula returns to Glaziers Hall on Tuesday 10 November, Ukie's annual funding day for UK games companies. It's the second year for the event, and it's aimed squarely at developers and publishers looking to get a handle on the current and future market for funding and commercial opportunities.
The day is built around three main tracks of talks. The first focuses on securing investment and funding partnerships, with sessions on meeting publishers, platforms, angel investors and VC partners. The second is about building for sustainable growth, looking at the internal systems and external activities that help with customer retention, ethical monetisation and reducing inefficiencies. The third explores new revenue streams and market opportunities beyond traditional game sales, including the user-generated content market and working within online games platforms.
Between the talks, industry experts and games professionals are on hand for one-to-one meetings and conversations about collaboration and partnership, so you can take the things you've heard in the sessions and start talking them through with the people who actually do this for a living. Breakfast and lunch are provided on the day, which is handy when you're spending the whole morning and afternoon in one place.
