The Royal Albert Hall's first Star Wars in-concert weekender, with the London Symphony Orchestra playing John Williams' scores to the original trilogy.
The Royal Albert Hall is hosting its first Star Wars in-concert weekender from Thursday 29 April to Sunday 2 May 2027. It's part of the Hall's Films in Concert series, which is now in its 17th year and has brought in the LSO, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Chineke! Orchestra over that time. This particular run is licensed by Disney Concerts.
The London Symphony Orchestra will be the one on stage, and they're performing John Williams' scores to George Lucas' original trilogy. There's a bit of history there: the LSO is the ensemble that first recorded the original Star Wars soundtracks, so they're returning to the music they helped make famous. The dates also line up with the 50th anniversary of A New Hope, which came out in 1977.

The weekender format is something the Hall has done before. It follows the sold-out Lord of the Rings weekends, which were a UK first and set the template for presenting an entire trilogy in a single run. This one works the same way, with the original trilogy spread across the few days rather than just one night. Tickets start at £30.
