Live concert by American rock band Saves The Day, with Chastity and Turn of Phase, at Electric Brixton.
Saves The Day play Electric Brixton on Wednesday 18 November, with Chastity and Turn of Phase opening for them. It's a London date from the American rock band, who've been around since 1997 and started out in Princeton, New Jersey.
They didn't always go by that name: they began as Sefler in 1994, before signing to the independent hardcore punk label Equal Vision and putting out their debut studio album in 1998. Through Being Cool followed in 1999, which gave them their first single, 'Shoulder to the Wheel'. Stay What You Are arrived in 2001, peaking at number 100 on the Billboard 200 and spawning MTV2 videos for 'At Your Funeral' and 'Freakish', and selling 300,000 copies. After that, they signed to Dreamworks Records, who co-released In Reverie with Vagrant Records; that one reached number 27 on the Billboard 200 and number 4 on the Independent Albums chart.
The current line-up is vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, bassist Rodrigo Palma and drummer Dennis Wilson. The show is presented by SJM Concerts, and it's for ages 14+, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
