A rave inside a wood-lined sauna and ice room, with ambient house and downtempo electronica, ice baths and mist showers, as part of London Sauna Week.
The Sauna Rave kicks off at AndSoul Sanctuary in Shoreditch on Friday 30 October, from 21:00 to 22:30. It's not a one-off, either: the night runs again on Friday 6, 13 and 27 November, so you've got a few dates to choose from if the first one doesn't fit.
The whole thing takes place inside the venue's wood-lined Sensorium sauna and ice room. The heat is tuned for movement rather than a total meltdown, so you can dance without overheating. The music ranges from ambient house and downtempo electronica to evolving soundscapes, and the idea is to flow between waves of sound and steam, then plunge into the ice baths or take a mist shower when you've had enough. It's a phone-free, topless-free zone, and the rules are straightforward: indoor flip-flops or bare feet only, no alcohol, and a pre-plunge shower is required.
Each night brings a different DJ. The 30 October session is an Underworld Halloween Special with DJ Enrico Argentin; 6 November is a Singles Sauna Rave by Thursday x Sanctuary & Soul; 13 November features Bristol DJ Ruggz; and 27 November brings DJ Mikel Ameen. The night sits within the venue's wider programme of more than 70 weekly classes, which includes hot yoga, TRX, Reformer Pilates and heated strength.

It also forms part of London Sauna Week, the city's unofficial bid to become the sauna capital of the world, which gathers more than sixty saunas across London alongside talks and experiences from artists, doctors, poets, researchers and architects. Tickets are £28 each, and you'll find the venue at 114-116 Cheshire Street, Shoreditch, London E2 6EJ.
