Relaxed viewing session for the Julio Le Parc exhibition at Tate Modern, for visitors with disabilities, neurodivergent people and those with sensory needs.
Tate Modern is running Relaxed Hours for the Julio Le Parc exhibition on Tuesday 17 November, from 10.00 to 11.00. It's part of a regular slot — the third Tuesday of every month from 17 November 2026 through to 20 April 2027 — so if this one doesn't fit, there are plenty more to choose from.
Le Parc is an Argentinian-born artist and a major figure in contemporary art. Born in Argentina in 1928, he moved to France in 1958 and became part of the vibrant 1960s Paris art scene, though he kept strong ties to Latin America throughout his career. The exhibition covers more than seven decades of his work, from the late 1950s into the 2020s, and it's best known for his pioneering kinetic sculptures. They use light, movement and mirrored surfaces to draw you in; he wanted audiences to be active, with your looking and experiencing bringing each work to life. The show brings together interactive installations, shimmering light sculptures and large-scale geometric paintings.
These particular hours are open to anyone disabled or neurodivergent, and to any visitor with sensory needs who prefers a more relaxed experience, along with their families, friends and carers. On the day, there's an Access Station, ear defenders and a quiet breakout space available. It's a quieter way to see the work, which is helpful if the usual gallery buzz feels like a bit much.
