Second season of Polygon Portal, London's 360-degree spatial audio listening room, with landmark album playbacks, artist-led sessions and sound-based wellbeing activities.
Polygon Portal is back for its second season at 75 Dean Street in Soho, with sessions running throughout October and November 2026. It's London's first dedicated 360-degree spatial audio listening room, run by Polygon Productions and housed in the former Warner Bros De Lane Lea studio — a space used mostly for dubbing feature films, though the Beatles, Queen and the Rolling Stones also recorded there. The whole thing is built for concentration rather than distraction: you sit in near darkness while one of the UK's most advanced spatial audio systems wraps the sound around you, and blindfolds are on offer if you want to lean into the immersion. The venue describes itself as a cinema for the ears and a new kind of third space.
This season's programme mixes landmark album playbacks, artist-led sessions, Q&As, the Essay Series, spoken-word installations and sound-based wellbeing activities like breathwork, yoga and sound baths. Jazz is a natural fit for the room, a genre that's always depended on close listening and sonic detail. Upstairs there's the Nine Lives bar, which runs on a low-waste model.
