Nina Maia

Nina Maia plays Morocco Bound in Wandsworth on Friday 30 October, her first London date since the release of her debut album. She's a Brazilian singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, and this is a headline show presented by the venue.

She's touring I N T E I R A, the debut album that came out in 2024 and has since picked up critical acclaim and international recognition. The set will be built around that record, so it's a good chance to hear the material as it was intended rather than just on a stream. If you've followed the album's reception over the last year, this is the live counterpart to that.

Her sound sits at a cross between MPB, jazz and indie pop, and she describes it as bridging tradition and modernity with emotional depth and sonic sophistication. It's a broad enough mix to work for a few different crowds — the MPB brings the Brazilian songbook, the jazz adds the instrumental side, and the indie pop keeps it accessible. She handles the singing, the songwriting, and the producing, so the songs are her own from the ground up.

Doors open at 7:00pm, with the show starting at 8:00pm. It's a long one, running for about four hours, and it's for ages 18 and over. Tickets are £16.69.
