Violinist Nemanja Radulović and his ensemble Devil's Trills reimagine classical miniatures, from Bach and Prokofiev to Morricone, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Nemanja Radulović and his ensemble Devil's Trills play Queen Elizabeth Hall on Thursday 25 February 2027, with Guillaume Fontanarosa joining them on violin. Radulović is a violinist known for a passionate, communicative style that reaches beyond traditional violin music, and this programme is built around the idea that powerful music can come from anywhere.
The set puts classical miniature masterpieces alongside other musical worlds. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor leaves the organ for a new home among violin and strings, and Prokofiev's Montagues and Capulets strides out of the ballet theatre into a more intimate setting. Morricone's haunting Cinema Paradiso theme meets the seductive tango of Gardel's Por una cabeza. Critics have described his tone as crystal-clear and his playing as having a moving sincerity.
