Stand-up show 'Odd Jobs' by writer-comedian Nathan D'Arcy Roberts, previewing his BBC Radio 4 stand-up special, in an 18+ venue.
Nathan D'Arcy Roberts brings Odd Jobs to Aces & Eights Saloon Bar on Wednesday 20 January 2027. It's a BBC Radio 4 preview, which means it's a work-in-progress show feeding into his upcoming Radio 4 Stand-Up Special, so you're seeing the material while it's still being shaped.
The set centres on AI's impact on the job market, and Roberts frames it as a question: is this just history's next Industrial Revolution, or something more apocalyptic? It's a topic that's hard to ignore these days, and he's working it through on stage before it lands on the radio.
Roberts is an award-winning writer and comedian, twice nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award and winner of the BBC's Felix Dexter bursary. He's performed tour support for Reginald D Hunter and written for Horrible Histories, so he's comfortable both on stage and behind the scenes. Odd Jobs is the latest thing he's got in the works.
