Monday Night Comedy Show

Big Belly Comedy Club has its Monday night show on 19 October at its Southbank room, Unit 6 & 7, 30 Stamford Street, SE1 9LQ. The bill is Mark Cram, Thenjiwe, and Josh Weller, with more acts to be announced as the date gets closer. It's one of their regular weekday nights, and the club bills it as the city's best value night out.

If you're not familiar with the place, Big Belly Comedy Club was formerly Vauxhall Comedy Club and is run by comedians. The Southbank room was built as a fusion of several iconic London comedy nights and venues, including Regression Sessions, GSOH Comedy, Comedy Knights, Comedy Cafe Theatre, and The Ding Dong Gong Show. It's a working club, not just a venue that hires in a promoter, and it holds more than 3,000 five-star Google reviews with a 4.9-star rating, plus a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award in 2022 and 2023.

Beyond the weekly bills, the club runs a free comedy course, houses a podcast studio and a 40ft bar, and stages a Saturday open mic where the audience judges the acts with a 'Dong of Power'. The Monday night itself includes a free drink, and the show runs around 90 minutes to two hours with an interval or two, so you're getting a full evening of comedy rather than a short set.
