Monday Night Comedy, 8PM, Covent Garden

Monday Night Comedy is back at JK Comedy Club in Covent Garden on Monday 7 December, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and the show starting at 8:00 PM. It's a night of stand-up that runs for about 90 minutes, hosted by a compere who introduces a line-up of professional comedians from the London circuit.

The club draws from a stable of comics who've appeared on Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo and Netflix, so you're likely to see names you recognise rather than a room full of unknowns. The line-ups are announced on the venue's Instagram, @jkcomedyclub, and they can change at short notice due to illness, filming or travel — a change of act isn't grounds for a refund, so it's worth keeping an eye on that feed if you're following a particular name. The club itself is rated 4.9/5 on Google by more than 4,500 guests, which gives you a fair idea of the standard they keep.

On the practical side, admission is for unreserved seating only, so there's no picking your spot in advance — just turn up and find a seat. There's a full bar inside the room, and entry is restricted to over-18s, so you'll need a valid photo ID to get in. Tickets start from £8.00 and are non-refundable, though they can be transferred to another show or exchanged for a voucher if your plans change.

If you're looking for a Monday night in central London that doesn't cost a fortune, this is a straightforward one: doors at 7:00 PM, show at 8:00 PM, and tickets from £8.00.
