Over-18s indie alternative rock night headlined by Miler, with support from Family Unit and Sorry Sorry, at The Hope and Anchor.
Miler plays The Hope and Anchor on Friday 23 October, with support from Family Unit and Sorry Sorry. The night is presented by Real Sounds, and it's for over-18s only.
Miler is the indie alternative rock project of Calista Morgan, a Hastings-born artist now based in Brighton. Rooted in the confessional tradition, the project draws on Florence + The Machine, Wolf Alice and Fleetwood Mac, and Morgan's voice shifts between soaring, tender vocals and a guttural grit. The sound ranges from shoegaze and 90s grunge-influenced indie to country-tinged slowburners with War on Drugs-esque crescendos, recommended for fans of Blondshell, Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen.
Support comes from Family Unit, a South London alternative rock band crafting fuzz-laden, hooky guitar-pop with a nostalgic 90s alternative sound recorded in Brixton, and Sorry Sorry, a rock power trio based in north London who originally came to the city from New Zealand in 2024.
