Members-only after-hours festive evening with creative workshops, music, talks and exclusive access to the V&A's new exhibitions.
V&A South Kensington is opening its doors after hours for the Members Festive Evening on Sunday 6 December, from 18:45 to 22:00. It's a members-only night, so you'll need a membership to get in, and it runs well into the evening when the museum is normally closed to the public.
The night is built around creative workshops, musical performances and talks that look at the museum's collections from a new angle. Between those, you'll have after-hours access to two of the newest exhibitions: Constantinople to Istanbul: One City, Two Empires and Rising Voices: Contemporary Art from Asia, Australia and the Pacific. You can drift between the workshops and the galleries at your own pace, rather than following a set schedule.
There's also a brand-new trail to work through, Freddie Mercury | Splendid Things, which marks the superstar's 80th anniversary year with eight looks from across his career, from music videos to his most legendary performances. Alongside that is The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon, a display dedicated to the history of the trench coat.
