The Mayor of London's New Year's Eve fireworks, with more than 12,000 fireworks over the Thames as Big Ben rings in the new year.
The Mayor of London's New Year's Eve fireworks are back on Thursday 31 December 2026, running from 8:00pm through to 12:30am on Friday 1 January 2027. It's the UK's largest annual fireworks display, with more than 12,000 fireworks lighting up the sky over the Thames as Big Ben's bongs ring in the new year and the crowd sings along to 'Auld Lang Syne'. Around 100,000 locals and visitors gather along the river banks, and the event has been ticketed since 2014 to keep it safe and fun for everyone.
Tickets go on sale next week, and you'll need to pick your spot in advance. There are six closed viewing areas around the Thames Riverside in Westminster, London SE1, around the London Eye, each offering a different vantage point of the display. The Orange area is built as an accessible alternative, with seating, a hearing loop and a Changing Places toilet.
