Late-night free-entry DJ set by PVA and friends at The Social, an underground Friday disco in London.
PVA are taking over The Social for a DJ set on Friday 23 October, running from 11:00 pm through to 3:00 am on Saturday morning. It's billed as PVA & Friends, with the band themselves on the decks, and it's part of LOCALISM, the late-night club night that runs every Friday at the venue.
If you're not familiar, LOCALISM describes itself as a new late-night local and underground disco, with some of London's best DJs taking over each Friday night playing electronic dance floor music. The ethos is open to everyone: free entry, great drinks, a proper sound system and dance floor, and no guest list, no VIPs and no unannounced DJ hype. It's a straightforward night for anyone who just wants to dance without the usual club fuss.
This particular session is an afterparty following PVA's set at the ICA on the same night, 23 October, when the band takes over the LOCALISM room for the whole evening. So if you've caught them at the ICA, you can carry the night on over to The Social. The DJ set is PVA & Friends, with the band on the decks, and it runs until 3:00 am.
