Stand-up night presented by Show and Tell and headlined by ventriloquist comedian Nina Conti, with Bridget Christie, Elis James, Julia Masli and John Tothill.
Nina Conti headlines Live at the Empire at the Hackney Empire on Friday 6 November, with Monkey by her side. It's a full night of stand-up, and she's sharing the bill with Bridget Christie, Elis James, Julia Masli and John Tothill.
If you've seen Conti before, you know the setup: she's one of the UK's most recognisable comedians, a ventriloquist who's played the West End, Broadway and the Sydney Opera House without moving her lips. She trained as an actress at the Royal Shakespeare Company and took up ventriloquism after being inspired by theatre director Ken Campbell. She picked up the 2008 Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and since then she's become a regular on TV, with appearances on Live at the Apollo, QI and Taskmaster. Her live specials and In Therapy web series have pulled in millions of views online.
