Leadership in the Age of AI

André Lacroix, CEO of Intertek, is coming to Imperial Business School on Tuesday 27 October to talk about leadership in the age of AI. The session is part of the Technology Leader Speaker Series, which brings together business leaders and academics to look at the practical and political realities of artificial intelligence in the boardroom.

The conversation centres on Lacroix's book, Leadership with Soul, and the ten-principle model he builds around it. His starting point is that people are the ultimate driver of long-term success. From there, he argues that leaders should use AI to automate low added-value tasks and spend their time instead on genuine engagement, strategic differentiation, innovation-based reinvention and investing in people. For Lacroix, emotional intelligence is what separates those who merely manage from those who truly lead.

It's a fireside chat rather than a lecture, led by Professor David Shrier, who'll be working through the book's themes with him. The whole thing runs from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LGS, Imperial Business School, South Kensington Campus, London SW7 2AZ, and it's free to attend.
