Greek bouzouki singer Konstantinos Argiros returns to the Royal Albert Hall with a 360-degree production inspired by the Acropolis.
Konstantinos Argiros returns to the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 22 October, his first London show since he played the venue to a sold-out crowd back in 2024. This time around, the setup is different: the stage is in the round, with 360-degree visual projections inspired by the Acropolis and a production that recreates the atmosphere of Athens' late-night bouzoukia venues on a large scale. It's a Greek night in South Kensington, and the whole thing is built around bringing a bit of that Athenian nightlife over here.
Argiros has a bit of a story to him. Born in 1986 in Ilion, northwest Athens, he started out studying medicine in Italy before switching to music. He got his start on a television talent show, played in Thessaloniki, and later joined Nikos Vertis in Athens. He signed with Sony BMG in 2008 and has put out several commercially successful albums, including multiple platinum records. Athina Mou ('my Athens'), released in 2021, has become one of the songs most closely associated with him, and it fits the bill for a show that leans so heavily on his home city.
His career has taken him well beyond Greece, with performances at the Sydney Opera House, New York's Barclays Center and Chicago's United Center. This return to the Royal Albert Hall is his second time playing the venue, and the change to a stage in the round means the production wraps around the whole room rather than facing one way. The projections of the Acropolis and the bouzoukia-style staging are the two things that set this one apart from his last visit.
