Over-18s Diwali boat party with Bollywood and English music by Viren95, Prith.V and DJ Nipurn, with student prices.
KCL Bollywood Society is taking Diwali onto the river on Sunday 8 November, with a boat party setting off from Temple Pier in central London. It's part of the 'Official London Unis Celebration', and while the society is based at King's, it's open to students from any university and any academic year, so you don't have to be a KCL student to get on board.
The boat departs from Temple Pier (WC2R 2PN), with Temple station on the District line being the closest tube. The route takes you past some of the city's biggest landmarks, including Tower Bridge and Westminster, so you'll get 360-degree views of the river as you go. The boat is decked out in Diwali decor, and the music is a mix of Bollywood and English tracks from top UK DJs, with premium drinks available at student prices.

On the decks, the line-up features Viren95, Prith.V and DJ Nipurn, supported by B4U Music. The dress code is ethnic Diwali wear or smart clothing, and it's an over-18s event, so you'll need a valid physical ID to get in. The party runs from 5pm to 10pm, and the boat departs from Temple Pier, with doors closing at 5:30pm sharp — so you'll want to be there well before that if you're coming from across town. Tickets are £20.
