High-energy electronic music night with UK garage, breakbeat, jungle and drum & bass from London DJ Jex on Dex at Dalston Den.
Jex on Dex is hosting Rave in the Den at Dalston Den on Friday 23 October, a night of electronic music and rave that he's putting together himself. It's a London-based night in an East London venue, so if you're already around the area, it's an easy one to drop into.
For those who haven't come across him yet, Jex on Dex is a London DJ whose sound sits right at the intersection of UK garage, breakbeat, jungle and drum & bass. He's known for high-energy, fast-moving sets that pivot between bouncy UKG grooves and heavier, bass-driven selections, so the night should pull from a few different corners of the UK bass scene rather than sticking to one lane. If you're into the faster, breakbeat-led side of things, that's exactly where this lands.
It's a rave in the truest sense of the word — electronic music and a dancefloor, with Jex on Dex taking the lead. The whole thing is organised by him, so the night is built around the sound he's known for. If you're familiar with the UK garage and jungle side of things, you'll recognise the ground he's working from.
