Jazz and Latin jam session led by The Jazz, Soul, Funk Collective (JSFC) at The Spice of Life in Soho, with a Sunday roast.
The Jazz, Soul, Funk Collective are leading a jazz jam at The Spice of Life in Soho on Sunday 25 October. It's presented by Different Planet, and the whole thing is billed as a session for lovers of jazz and good music, and for instrumentalists or singers who want to jam on the day. The music leans towards jazz and latin, so if you're playing, that's the territory you'll be working in.
It's a jam session, which means it's not a fixed set. The Collective gets things moving, and then the floor opens up for others to jump in. If you're coming to play, bring your instrument or your voice and be ready to sit in. If you're just coming to listen, you'll get to hear the session evolve as different musicians take their turn.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head in. The room works on a first-come, first-served basis, so a ticket doesn't guarantee you a seat — if you want a spot, it's worth getting there early. All ages are welcome, though under-18s need to be accompanied by an adult. The pub also serves a Sunday roast, along with vegan and vegetarian dishes, all day, though food and drink aren't included in the ticket price.

Doors open at 1:00pm and the music starts at 2:00pm, so you've got a good window to get sorted before it kicks off. Tickets are £10 plus a booking fee, and the venue is The Spice of Life, 6 Moor St, Soho, London W1D 5NA.
