Goldfish play their debut London headline show at Ministry of Sound with special guests Alastair Lane and Mas Que Nada Brothers.
Goldfish are playing Ministry of Sound on Friday 23 October, their first London headline show. It's a live set, not a DJ slot, and they're bringing along special guests Alastair Lane and Mas Que Nada Brothers to round out the bill.
If you've not come across them before, Goldfish started as Dominic Peters and David Poole — mild-mannered students by day who spent their nights blowing the roof off house parties. Their live show mixes tireless house beats with jazz instrumental interludes, a combination that won over a growing electronic audience. They scour obscure sources for cheeky samples and stir in African rhythms and melodies, evolving a uniquely South African house sound rooted in pure pop pleasure. A string of chart-topping hits and festival appearances as far-flung as Miami and Ibiza helped them become one of the most influential groups in global electronic music, playing tropical, melodic and organic house.
