South Asian-inspired session of painting, drinks and music with Bhangra and RnB at Vauxhall Arches.
Glassy 'n' Paint is at Vauxhall Arches on Saturday 24 October, running from 1:30pm through to 4:00pm on Sunday 25 October. It's one of the regular sessions run by Glassy Group London, who describe themselves as the capital's home for South Asian-inspired events. They build their whole thing around culture, music and energy, and they do it through a series of themed afternoons that all follow a similar pattern.
This one is the painting version. The session brings together painting, drinks and music, with the music side of things leaning on Bhangra and RnB. There's dancing in the mix too, so it's not just about sitting still with a brush in your hand. It's a few hours of doing all three at once rather than one after the other.
If you're not familiar with the rest of what they do, Glassy 'n' Paint is just one of several formats they run under the same umbrella. They also do Glassy 'n' Brunch, Glassy 'n' Date and Glassy 'n' Bingo, each one swapping out the painting for something else while keeping the South Asian influence and the music at the centre. This one is the one for when you want to paint.
