Open-to-close rave night with Efan playing an extended set across UK rave genres at Bricks, staged by Frontline.
EFAN:EXTENDED comes to Bricks on Saturday 24 October, with Efan taking the helm for an open-to-close set. The night is billed as an extended journey through UK rave culture across multiple genres, and Efan is the only name on the bill, playing from the start through to the end. It's a long-haul set rather than a short one, and the open-to-close format means he'll be taking the room through different stages of the night himself.
Behind the night is Frontline, a UK-based music label, agency and events organiser currently running a UK-wide tour this autumn. For the London leg, they've teamed up with After Hours, a crew built within the city's underground scene whose bookings range across a wide variety of sounds and who focus on bringing different corners of the scene together. It's a pairing of a touring label and a local crew, with the London date being one stop on Frontline's autumn run.
As for the music, the whole thing is built around Efan's passion for the British rave scene. The 'extended' in the title refers to the open-to-close set, so you'll hear him work through the night rather than just slotting in for a couple of hours. The genres aren't specified, but the rave culture umbrella covers a fair bit of ground, and the open-to-close format gives him the space to move between them. If you're into the UK rave sound, this is the one to keep on your radar.
