The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Richard Cooke with presenter Jess Gillam, plays traditional carols and festive favourites across 15 performances.
Carols at the Royal Albert Hall returns to the Royal Albert Hall from 19 to 24 December, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing 15 performances across six days. It's a proper London Christmas tradition, and the run is built for singing along, with plenty of moments when the audience is invited to join in. The organisers frame it as the ultimate way to step into the Christmas spirit.
The programme mixes traditional carols with modern festive favourites, all backed by a full orchestra, choir, presenters and soloists. The RPO is conducted by Richard Cooke and Nicholas Chalmers, and Jess Gillam presents. The shows run about two and a half hours with a 25-minute interval, and BSL interpretation is provided at the 7.30pm performances on the first Saturday and Sunday.
