Musical inspired by Tim Burton's film, with David Fynn as Beetlejuice and Hannah Nordberg as Lydia, at the Prince Edward Theatre.
Beetlejuice is playing at the Prince Edward Theatre on Friday 6 November, part of its West End run that opened in May 2026 and carries on until April 2027. The musical takes its starting point from Tim Burton's 1988 film, and the story follows Lydia Deetz, a teenager obsessed with the afterlife who moves into a house haunted by the recently deceased Adam and Barbara Maitland, only to cross paths with Beetlejuice, a bombastic demon. It's written by Scott Brown and Anthony King, with music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect and direction by Alex Timbers, and it leans on dark, chaotic humour, adult themes and immersive special effects.
On stage, David Fynn plays Beetlejuice and Hannah Nordberg plays Lydia, with Aimie Atkinson taking over as Delia Deetz from 3 November. The show is billed as a wildly hilarious Broadway hit, having premiered in New York in 2019 before returning in 2022 and touring Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi. Critics have called it a 'hallucinogenic spectacle' with sets to die for and songs that are a blast, and the production earned an Olivier Award nomination. It's recommended for ages 12+, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
