Free artist talks by Eunjo Lee and Aziza Kadyri in conversation with curator Carrie Chan, part of the V&A x London Design Festival 2026 programme 'Awakenings'.
Aziza Kadyri and Eunjo Lee are in conversation at the V&A South Kensington on Saturday 17 October, as part of the museum's Awakenings programme for London Design Festival 2026. The session runs from 14:00 to 16:00 in the Hochhauser Auditorium, inside the Learning Centre on Level 1, with Contemporary Programme Curator Carrie Chan moderating.
It's split into two halves: Eunjo Lee presents When the Void Gazes Back at 14:00, and Aziza Kadyri presents Sender Unknown at 15:00. Lee is an artist and filmmaker working between London and Seoul, known for using gaming-graphics software to build complex digital worlds. Her work draws on Zen, karma and impermanence rooted in Buddhism, and is shown alongside sculptures partially printed from recycled clay. Kadyri is an artist of Uzbek origin based in London who represented Uzbekistan at the 60th Venice Biennale of Art in 2024; she reimagines Uzbek textile tradition through the intersection of AI, art and craft, responding to the museum's own historic suzani collection.
Both talks sit within Awakenings, the V&A's London Design Festival 2026 programme, which looks at how design, craft and technology can inspire new perspectives, spark curiosity and bring to light invisible yet interconnected forces. The session is also part of the V&A's What's On talks programme, which opens the museum's exhibitions and collections to visitors through conversations with curators, makers and specialists.
