Free over-18s night of stand-up from emerging and established comedians testing new material at The Camden Head.
Angel Comedy RAW is back at The Camden Head on Wednesday 21 October, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. It's a free night of stand-up, and the format is exactly what the name suggests: new acts and new material. It's the club's night for emerging comedians working their way towards becoming the stars of tomorrow, and they share the bill with well-established names testing fresh material. That's the appeal of a RAW night — you might see a newcomer on their way up, or a big name trying out a bit of something that hasn't been polished for a tour yet.
To give you an idea of the kind of people who have passed through here, the list of past guests reads like a who's who of British comedy: James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Josie Long, Bridget Christie, Isy Suttie, Tim Key, Nish Kumar and Aisling Bea. It's a room where the next big thing often starts, and where the established ones come to get a first look at how a new joke lands.
The Camden Head is the home of Angel Comedy's wider operation; they run a comedy club there every single night, and the RAW series itself runs on several other nights of the week. This particular session is the Wednesday one, so if you're in the area mid-week and fancy a laugh, it's an easy one to drop into.

Entry is free, but capacity is strictly limited — once the room is full, it's full, so arriving early is your best bet if you want a seat. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the show runs from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. It's an over-18s night, so keep that in mind before you head down to Camden Walk.
