Café Afternoon Tea with sandwiches, scones and seasonal patisserie handmade by Le Cordon Bleu Master Chefs at CORD on Fleet Street.
CORD by Le Cordon Bleu is running its Café Afternoon Tea on Fleet Street, Monday to Friday from 2pm to 5pm. It's a proper afternoon tea in the middle of the city, and the whole thing is handmade by Le Cordon Bleu Master Chefs.
What they're serving is the classic spread you'd expect: freshly prepared sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, and a selection of seasonal patisserie. The pastries are the part that really leans into the Le Cordon Bleu name, so that's where the French pastry expertise comes in. It's a British tradition with a French twist, and everything is made in-house rather than brought in from somewhere else.

It's set up as a relaxed, elegant spot, so it works as well for a slow afternoon with friends as it does for something a bit more planned. You can just walk in, or you can book in advance if you'd rather have a table waiting for you. It runs Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5pm, at CORD by Le Cordon Bleu on Fleet Street.
