Full-day over-18s festival of fashion, music and creative culture with runway shows, live performances, dance showcases, workshops and DJs at Freight Brixton.
Aetherfest: Chapter One takes over Freight Brixton on Sunday 25 October, turning the venue into what the organisers call an 'Aetherverse' playground. It's a full-day affair, running from 14:00 to 23:00, and they're framing the whole thing as a celebration of fashion, music and creative culture. Rather than a standard gig, it's built as a one-roof gathering: a creative marketplace, runway shows, live performances, dance showcases, workshops and DJs all happening across the day.
The line-up is a long one, with SHEMYYY, Hunnygloss, Clark Rainbow, Wolf Cutt, Muki, Mara Liddle, raimustdie, Sawdu Plushia, 4fourtee, CARRIE ABYSS, Cha.nts, FIA, teethstache, k0iye, FOREVER, Mayowa, Amanda Vassallo, RAMA and avantgardien. With that many names on the bill, the day is more of a festival than a single show, so you can drift between the different stages and spaces rather than sticking to one room.
There's a dress code to keep in mind: Cirque Du Slay, which they describe as circus-inspired attire. It's the kind of thing that encourages you to lean into the theme rather than just turning up in your usuals. Entry is strictly over-18s, and you'll need to bring ID to get in.
