Zap Graffiti Art class

Zap Graffiti are running a graffiti art class at ZAP GRAFFITI At RESURRECTION on Monday 26 October, from 11:00 to 13:00. It's a two-hour workshop that takes you through the basic skills and techniques professional graffiti artists use, so it's a good starting point if you've never picked up a can before. The sessions often bring together a mix of children and adults working side by side, and it's open to all ages above six, which makes it as much a family thing as a solo one.

Rather than working on your own, you'll be in teams, and each group creates their own three-foot-by-three-foot poster to take home. That's a fair bit of wall to cover in two hours, so you'll be getting stuck in from the start. The focus is on the fundamentals — the way you hold the can, how you control the spray, and how to build a piece — rather than just messing about. By the end, you'll have something substantial to show for it.

The class is held at ZAP GRAFFITI At RESURRECTION, on the first floor of 27-29 Bold Street, L1 4DN, right in the heart of the city. It runs from 11:00 to 13:00, and the cost is £23.50 per person, with all materials included in the price. Tickets are sold through Skiddle.
