High-energy, fully staged theatrical tribute to the early years of Elton John, with his iconic songs and piano performances.
Yellow Brick Road - The Young Elton Spectacular comes to The Bentley on Friday 13 November, a staged tribute to the early years of Elton John. It's not a concert in the usual sense; it's a 90-minute theatrical production that looks back at the flamboyant, fearless start of his career, with the songs, the style and the piano-pounding performances brought to the stage.
Tom Weston takes the lead, and the set runs through the hits that made him a worldwide sensation. You'll hear 'I'm Still Standing', 'Your Song', 'Crocodile Rock' and 'Rocket Man' among them, all played as part of a fast-paced journey through that early era. It's billed as more than a gig, with the whole thing fully staged rather than just a band on a platform.
The night is presented by The Bentley at 50 Brunswick Street, L2 0PL, and there's a bit more to it than just the show. Seating is reserved, and a Chinese chicken curry is served at 8:00pm, so it's a dinner-and-show sort of evening. If you're bringing anyone under 18, they'll need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
