Comedy open mic night at Kazimier Garden in Liverpool.
Witty Whippet Comedy Open Mic is back at Kazimier Garden in Liverpool on Monday 2 November. It's an open mic night, which means the bill is made up of comedians coming in to try out new material rather than a single headliner. That's the whole point of these nights: you'll hear bits of sets that are still being worked on, some that might land and some that don't, and a few that'll probably end up in a proper show later down the line.
Because it's an open mic, the line-up changes every time. You'll get a mix of people — some who've been doing this a while and are just testing a few new jokes, and others who might be stepping on stage for the first time. It's a bit of a lottery, and that's part of the draw: you're seeing the work in progress, not the polished version.

Kazimier Garden is in the city centre, so it's an easy one to get to on a Monday evening. If you're fancying a night out that doesn't cost the earth, this is a good shout — it's a low-stakes way to see a fair few different comics in one go, and since it's an open mic, it's as much about the room as it is about the stage. The night starts at 18:30, so you've got the whole evening ahead of you.
