Tuesday acoustic session with resident acoustic acts playing The Cavern Club in Liverpool.
The Cavern Club has its Tuesday acoustic session running on 27 October, with six artists taking turns on the front room stage from late morning through to midnight. It's one of those days where you can drop in for a single set or stick around for several in a row, since the music doesn't stop until the doors close.
Jim Yeung opens the day from 11:15am to 1:00pm, followed by Clark Gilmour from 1:15pm to 3:00pm. Tony Skeggs takes over from 3:15pm to 5:00pm, and Martin Quinn plays from 5:15pm to 7:00pm. The evening continues with Jonny Parry from 7:15pm to 9:00pm, and Jay Murray closes it out from 9:15pm until midnight. Each act gets a full slot, so there's plenty of room to settle in rather than just catching a few songs between sets.
It's part of the club's regular acoustic programming, which runs Monday through Friday across the front stage and the live lounge. The Cavern bills itself as the most famous club in the world, and it keeps the music going every day of the week. On Monday nights, the local musician Ian Prowse of Pele and Amsterdam hosts The Monday Club, an open-mic night for anyone to step up. Thursday is Beatle Night, when the local act Beatles Complete play through the classics. The Cavern Pub is also open seven days a week, with live music every evening.
