Triple Headline Show

Hot Water Comedy are putting on a triple headline show at Blackstock Market on Saturday 24 October, with Danny McLoughlin, Rob Thomas and Allyson June Smith all taking the stage. It's one of those nights where you get three full sets rather than one headliner and a few openers, so you're getting a fair bit of comedy for your ticket.

Rob Thomas has been on stage since 2010 and quickly became one of the country's most promising up-and-coming comics, reaching the final of several of the most prestigious new-act awards. Allyson June Smith comes from a different background entirely: a former school teacher who's been working the Canadian comedy scene since 2000, her credits include her own hour-long Comedy Now special and appearances on CBC Radio's The Debaters. Then there's Danny McLoughlin, a Chortle Student Comedian of the Year finalist in 2008 who performed at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival. Between them, you've got a UK circuit regular, a Canadian veteran, and someone who's been around the festivals.

Hot Water Comedy is based here in Liverpool and is widely regarded as the UK's best comedy promoter, running award-winning, purpose-built comedy venues. Their flagship shows bring together some of the finest headline comedians from across the UK and beyond, with regular TV faces. Blackstock Market also programmes live music and food around the show, so it's easy enough to make a proper night of it rather than just popping in for the comedy.

The show starts at 19:00, with doors opening at 17:30 and the whole thing wrapping up by 21:00. Standard tickets are £18.00, and there are free tickets for birthdays, Blue Light workers and teachers.
