Thursday night of live music at The Cavern Club with resident artists and a two-set show by the Beatles tribute act Beatles Complete.
Beatles Complete are taking the front stage at The Cavern Club on Thursday 22 October, as part of the club's regular Thursday night music. They'll be playing two sets of Beatles classics, and they're the main feature of the evening.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. The night starts early with a run of the club's resident artists: Barney Taylor, Ray Durie, Charlie Skeggs, Clark Gilmour, Jonny Parry and Jay Murray. They'll be playing throughout the day and evening, so the music gets going well before the headliners take over. Beatles Complete don't step up until 9:15pm, and they'll play through to 11:00pm.
It's a Thursday night, which is when the club runs its 'Beatle Night'. The Cavern describes itself as 'the most famous club in the world' and 'the cradle of British pop music, the place where the Beatles' musical identity was formed'. It's a big part of the place's identity: the club's own resident band, The Cavern Club Beatles, plays the Live Lounge on Fridays, covering every era of the Fab Four's songbook, and the venue also runs International Beatleweek. The Cavern Pub opens seven days a week from midday with free entry and live music every evening, and the main room runs daily from 11:30am until late.
